Unexpectedly, another Southern Pen in toilet seat blue was for sale online and it had to be added to the group. Am hesitant to call this a collection as some beleive Southern Pens are not worth collecting. They are, in their own way, attractive, and tell an important story about a major second (third?) tier pen maker.
Many years ago a friend jokingly encouraged us to "save our Dixie cups, the south will rise again." Perhaps we can help it some.
This model is the same blue plastic. The big differences are that it is not a combo, the cap band is a different design, and the top of the cap is pointed. Same clip.
Another big difference is the 14K gold nib. One of our online acquaintqances did not beleive Southern Pen offered nibs in gold. They obviously do and they obviously write well.
